Online appointment booking

With the exception of flu vaccinations (please see under News section for further information), following guidance from NHS England we have changed the type of appointment available for online booking.  If you need to speak to a doctor please phone and book a telephone triage slot.  The doctor will phone you around the appointment time and do a consultation over the telephone.   A  follow-up face to face appointment can then be booked if required. We are taking this action to minimise the coronavirus infection risk.  We apologise for any inconvenience this action may cause and will update patients regularly with any further changes – thank you.

Our dedicated team are here to treat those minor ailments that occur as well as providing specialist management of long-term conditions and clinics covering a wide range of healthcare issues.

Pulborough Medical Group

Due to ongoing concerns with regards to Coronavirus (Covid-19) we have put measures in place for the safety and wellbeing of our patients and staff. As of Tuesday 17th March, we will be operating on a telephone triage system only.  You will only be offered a face to face appointment once you have had a telephone consultation. Telephone consultations with GP's are again available to book SystmOne online.

If you already have a GP appointment booked please do not come in for this. The GP will telephone you and try to deal with your problem on the telephone.

If you have a clinical need that needs medical attention our telephone lines remain open from 8am. Our medical reception team will ask some screening questions and if needed will add you to a call back list for a phone call from our clinical team. Due to high volumes of calls there is likely to be a wait and we are unable to give you accurate time for a call back, we ask for your co-operation and support during this time.

Please do not drop off urine samples unless you have been asked to by a clinician as many infections can be dealt with over the phone.

The care and safety of our patients and staff is paramount which is why we have put these precautions in place. We will keep you update with any further changes to the policy. It is important that we pull together and look after each other through this challenging time. Be mindful of elderly and vulnerable people who may live alone and not have any support.

The UK Chief Medical Officers have advised that the risk to the UK has been changed from Level 4, high to Level 3: a COVID-19 epidemic is in general circulation.

As per the current advice:

  • Travel and contact history is no longer important for diagnosis.
  • Anyone who shows certain symptoms to self-isolate for 14 days regardless of whether they have travelled to certain areas. This means to stay at home and avoid all but essential contact to slow the spread of infection. These symptoms are a high temperature (37.8 degrees and above) and/or a new continuous cough.
  • You do not need to call NHS 111 or contact the surgery to go into self-isolation. If your symptoms worsen during home isolation or are no better after 7 days contact NHS111 online at 111.nhs.uk. If you have no internet access you should call NHS111. For a medical emergency dial 999.

  • The most important thing individuals can do to protect themselves is washing their hands more regularly for at least 20 seconds with soap and water. Cough and sneeze into a tissue, put it in a bin and wash your hands.

Our preferred method is SystmOne Online for the ordering of repeat prescriptions. Please see the prescriptions tab above.

Once registered, patients and healthcare professionals work together to ensure the most appropriate care is provided. This partnership philosophy extends even further and our active patient group exists to make sure that patient needs and the practice offering are always heading in the same direction.

Access & Parking

There are 2 designated disabled parking spaces at the rear of the new Primary Care Centre and in addition there are disabled parking spaces within the Tesco carpark on a 2 hour restricted stay.

Wheelchairs can access the ground floor via the front entrance and there is a lift to Pulborough Medical Group based on the first floor. There are disabled toilets available on the ground and first floors.

The Tesco car park is shared with Pulborough Primary Care Centre – parking is strictly limited to a maximum period of three hours. The car park is monitored by an electronic device.
