THE COVID-19 VACCINE IS A FREE VACCINATION PROVIDED BY THE NHS. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK AN APPOINTMENT IF YOU ARE ASKED TO PAY FOR THE VACCINE AS THIS IS NOT A LEGITIMATE VACCINATION SERVICE
The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way that we work however our patients continue to need advice and may have problems which mean that they will have to be examined.
During this period
All initial consultations will be made via telephone or a video alternative (i.e. Skype).
If you have a clinical need that needs medical attention our telephone lines remain open from 8am. Our medical reception team will ask some screening questions and if needed will add you to a call back list for a phone call from our clinical team. Due to high volumes of calls there is likely to be a wait and we are unable to give you accurate time for a call back, we ask for your co-operation and support during this time.
Please do not drop off urine samples unless you have been asked to by a clinician as many infections can be dealt with over the phone.
The care and safety of our patients and staff is paramount which is why we have put these precautions in place. With this in mind, all practice staff now wear face coverings in public areas and corridors. The clinical team all wear full PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and we ask all patients to wear masks if they need to attend the practice.
Reception has been moved to the ground floor and on arrival, you will have your temperature taken and will be required to use the antibacterial hand gel. We would ask that any patient who has symptoms of a cough or fever, loss of taste or smell or have been in quarantine for 7 days because you have had any of these symptoms or 14 days because of a family member being unwell, please do not attend the practice but let us know.
Thank you for your support and understanding during this challenging period.
